The Rinus Penninx best paper award in honour of the founding father of IMISCOE, is an annual award for the best paper submitted to and presented at the IMISCOE annual conference. The Award intends to honour particularly researchers in the early phase of their career - up till 7 years after their PhD. The award is sponsored by the journal Comparative Migration Studies. An anonymous review committee decides on the allocation of the award. Besides the honour of receiving the award, the prize winner also receives € 750.-- and the opportunity to publish the paper in the journal CMS.
To be eligible for the Rinus Penninx Best Paper Award, please submit your full paper by uploading your paper to the conference website or send your paper to the chair of your panel. Chairs of sessions and panels are asked to nominate excellent papers before the 25th of May 2020. Nominations can also be done by any IMISCOE-researcher other than (co-)authors of the paper, also before the 25th of May. Only original, non-published papers are taken into consideration for the prize. When a paper has more than one author, an authorship note should be added in which the role of each author is explained.
