Newsletter #01

NEWS

Dear member of the PhD Network,

On behalf of the IMISCOE PhD Network, with this newsletter I would like to inform you about the upcoming PhD Workshop at the Annual Conference in Rotterdam (June, 28) and about the vacant positions for 2017-2018 inside the Soundboard, the active members group of our network.

At the upcoming IMISCOE conference in Rotterdam there will be plenty of opportunities to get together with your fellow PhD’s. On the first day of the conference (June 28) we have some special activities organised:

PhD Assembly

We kick the very first day of the IMISCOE conference off with our IMISCOE PhD Assembly, in the morning of June 28.

This will give everyone a chance to meet up and discuss current developments within IMISCOE, more specifically the issues concerning the PhD students within the network. Furthermore the Assembly will give you the opportunity to get to know the structure of the PhD Network, its members and the different activities organised for and by the PhD students.

PhD workshop: Academic Skills during and after a PhD in Migration Studies

Many beginning and advanced PhDs have questions about their PhD project and all this entails. We offer two workshops on academic skills that will cover some of the most frequently asked questions concerning aspects of publication, research funding, and academic networking. They also offer participants the opportunity to meet their peers in a relaxed atmosphere. For more information CLICK HERE

Everyone who is a PhD student within the IMISCOE network, is automatically part of the IMISCOE PhD network and therefore very welcome to attend our PhD Assembly or workshops. We look forward to see you in Rotterdam!

The IMISCOE PhD Network forms a network of actively engaged PhD students within the IMISCOE network. The network aims to promote training programs, networking and academic opportunities for PhDs.
