We welcome InZentim (Interdisciplinary Centre for Integration and Migration Research) - University of Duisburg-Essen as our new member
InZentIM is the newly-founded Interdisciplinary Centre for Integration and Migration Research at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE). With around 70 signed-up scholars, they are already one of the largest institutes of its kind in Germany.
Founded in 2016, InZentIM is both a strong network for existing research projects and a centre with projects of its own.
A particular focus of their work is supporting young scholars and researchers and the self-management of young scholars within InZentIM. Through the InZentIM Junior Scientists’ Network (‘Nachwuchsnetzwerk’), a group of early career scholars from several disciplines facilitates regular meetings, planning and hosting events regarding professional and generic competences within their self-managed network. These early career scholars are eager to join the IMISCOE PhD network. InZentim will be representeted by
Prof. Hermann Josef Abs and Prof. Anja Weiß.
Springer IMISCOE Series “Meet the Authors” @ IMISCOE 2019 Annual Conference, Malmö.
For the third year in a row, the Editorial Committee of the IMISCOE Book Series and Springer are hosting a short event during the Annual Conference where some of our authors whose book got published in the past twelve months can discuss their publication with conference participants. Rather than a classic book presentation, this event is more similar to a roundtable discussion where authors respond to discussants’ comments on the main features of their book and the audience is explicitly invited to take part in the discussion.
Time: 27 June from 11.45 to 13.00 (lunch time), room A0306 (floor 3).
