Dominika is a visual sociologist and associate lecturer working at Goldsmiths and SOAS, University of London. Currently she conducts a post – doctoral research on refugee inclusion and well - being in public spaces at the University of Sheffield. Her research and audio - visual practice focus on the intersections of memory, spatiality and exile/migration in conflict and post - conflict environments. Her collection of films ‘The Chronotopes of Palestine' (2015), which followed from her PhD, explored the issues of memory, erasure and return among Palestinians in Poland and the UK in the context of the ongoing Palestinian dispossession. She has worked on number of curatorial and programming projects including: ‘Beirut - Warsaw. Re - birth' exhibition (Warsaw, 2014), ‘Refugees. Present/Absent (Kraków, 2016) and conducted Polish research for R.Salti & K.Khouri’s ‘Past Disquiet. Narratives and Ghosts from the International Art Exhibition for Palestine 1978 exhibition’ (2016).
