Agnieszka Radziwinowicz got her MA degree (cum laude) in Sociology and MA degree in Spanish Studies. She was laureate of the Jan Józef Lipski Competition for the Best Master’s Thesis organized by the Open Republic Association and Rinus Penninx Best Paper Award (third place) at IMISCOE Conference in Madrid in 2014. She has carried out ethnographic researches in Spain, Mexico and Poland. In 2012 Agnieszka Radziwinowicz was granted Mexican Government Scholarship for Foreign Researchers. During her two research visits in Mexico she was researching the experience of deportation from the U.S.A. Her research interests include transnationalism, forced reverse migration as well as social and cultural contact between so-called centers and peripheries. She has been cooperating with the Centre of Migration Research since 2013 as a doctoral fellow and member of two research projects. She is a doctoral fellow in Social Anthropology Unit in Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw.
