Els de Graauw is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Baruch College, the City University of New York. Her research centers on the nexus of immigration and immigrant integration, civil society organizations, (sub)urban politics, and public policy. She is the author of Immigrant Rights Real: Nonprofits and the Politics of Integration in San Francisco (Cornell University Press, 2016). She has under way a large comparative study of state and city immigrant affairs offices in the United States as well as collaborative research on the implementation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in the Houston (TX), New York City (NY), and San Francisco-San Jose (CA) metro regions.
