Biography
Nada Afiouni is assistant professor lecturer at the University of Normandie / Le Havre, and member of the research group Identities and Cultures, GRIC (Groupe de Recherche Identités et Cultures), where she is in charge of the scientific coordination of the research team Héritages Métissages et Diversités.
Her research interests include public policies regarding discrimination, inter ethnic relations and religious minority groups. She explores the discrepancies between official political discourses and the framing of public policies and she has published a number of articles on these topics with particular attention to funerary rituals of minority religious migrant groups in both France and Britain.
