Biography
Ignacio Carrasco is a PhD student at Pompeu Fabra University. During the PhD, Ignacio will analyze immigrants' socioeconomic incorporation in relation to migration and welfare regimes in Latin American countries. Before joining the program, he worked at UN-ECLAC in different issues related to social development. He was also a member in the project Migration systems in comparative perspective: Mexico-USA and Subsaharan Africa-Europe (MIGRASYS) at Pompeu Fabra University. His research interests are social development, patterns and determinants of migration, as well as social protection. Ignacio holds a degree in sociology from University of Chile, a Master in Migration Studies from UPF and a Master of Science in Demography from Stockholm University.
