IMISCOE Web Directory - Marie Louise Seeberg
Marie Louise Seeberg, a social anthropologist based in Norway, has conducted migration research for nearly 25 years. Her most recent study investigates the impact of the Dublin Regulation on the onward migration of asylum seekers in Europe. Other research topics include meanings of home and homeland to Vietnamese refugees in Norway, relations between Swedish welfare institutions and refugees from Vietnam, conditions for asylum seeking children in Norway, and care worker migration into Norway from different parts of the world. From 2013, she leads the IMISCOE research group “Contested Childhoods in times of Crises”.
