Communities, Engagement & Curiosity
This interactive workshop invites participants to reflect on the role of curiosity, community engagement, and relationships in shaping their research journeys. Through guided discussions and collective exchange, participants will explore how connections with different communities influence research questions, methodologies, and knowledge production.
The session will encourage early-career researchers to think critically about who they engage with in their work, how these interactions shape the research process, and how curiosity can open unexpected directions and possibilities within academic practice.
Guiding Questions (adapted from panel questions)
- Where has curiosity led you in your research journey?
- Which specific communities are you in contact with through your research?
- How did engaging (or not engaging) with certain communities shape your research process?
