The conference brings together scholars interested in how young people locate themselves in local, transnational, and global contexts shaped by mobility, migration, discourse, and inequality. We welcome theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions from sociology and related disciplines, with particular attention to children’s and youths’ perspectives. We especially encourage submissions engaging diverse regions, methods, and perspectives.
Travel and accommodation costs will be covered for accepted speakers. Please submit an abstract of up to 400 words by March 15, 2026. Applicants will be notified in early April.
The organizers aim for a diverse and international group of participants. Detailed information on themes, formats, and submission guidelines is available in the full Call for Papers: https://www.uni-due.de/imperia/md/content/biwi/trana/trana_conference_call.pdf
