Call for papers: NOeG Annual Conference 2025

Deadline: 31March 2025

The Scientific and Local Organizing Committee of the Austrian Economic Association (NOeG) warmly invites paper submissions for the Annual Meeting of the Austrian Economic Association (NOeG). This year conference will be held at the University for Continuing Education Krems , and will explore the theme of "Migration as an Economic Reality". The conference will focus on the economic dimensions of migration, investigating its causes, processes, impacts, and potential pathways for policy making.  

The organizers welcome submissions on the conference theme, as well as contributions from all areas of economics and related disciplines. Proposals for organized sessions, comprising four papers centered around a common topic are also encouraged. 

Submission Guidelines

Submissions of papers or panel proposals are invited through the submission portal.

Deadline: March 31, 2025

Notification of Acceptance: May 15, 2025

Keynote

Isabel Ruiz (University of Oxford) and Çaglar Özden (The World Bank / Development Research Group) are the keynote speakers for the conference.

Publication Opportunity

Accepted papers may be considered for a special issue of Empirica: Journal of European Economics, following following a peer-review process. If you would like your paper to be considered, please indicate this during submission.

Young Economists Award

The Young Economists Award (€750) recognizes outstanding research by NOeG members under the age of 35 (applies to all co-authors). Please indicate eligibility in your submission.
