Dear network,
After consecrating a year to the topic of ‘Finding Joy’, the IMISCOE PhD Network Board decided to create a best practice guide to help early-career scholars find and nurture joy within academia. The IMISCOE PhD Network, which aims to strengthen research and networking opportunities for doctoral researchers in migration studies, is coordinated by its Board, whose members led the development of this guide.
We could not, however, do it alone. We thus asked our community of PhD researchers to share their thoughts and contribute to this collective resource designed to inspire others, showcasing what helps all of us to experience academia as a pleasant environment and how to turn downfalls into positivity.
