WISMA - Writing an academic paper workshop

How to write a paper for an academic journal. We will focus on how to choose a journal, how to write a paper and the publication process.

About this Event

This event is open to all African ECRs and postdocs researching international student migration.

This is the second in a series of workshops organised as part of Writing International Student Migration in Africa (WISMA) project, funded by the British Academy. The project aims to support the development of a research network of African early career scholars researching international student migration.

Our next seminar on Feb 17, @ 2 pm@: literature reviews for academic papers. It will include a discussion on the relationship between theory, literature review and empirical findings. The speakers are: @ParvatiRaghuram and  @MarkusBreines

We will focus on how to choose a journal, how to write a paper and the overall publication process. The workshop will be held in English.

The workshop will be led by Professor Parvati Raghuram, The Open University, Dr Markus Breines, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and Dr Gunjan Sondhi, The Open University.
