More than 160 professors teach and carry out research in the eight departments. In terms of research, Fulda University is one of the most active universities of applied sciences in Germany and it has been awarded the right to independently confer doctoral degrees. The Fulda University of Applied Sciences is seeking at the earliest possible date in the Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences the position of Research associate
at a rate of 50 % and initially for a period of two years.

Your areas of responsibility: 

The position is part of a research project on international student migration funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). You will be responsible for empirical research on international students from Indonesia, Ghana, and Columbia in Germany and the US. Field research abroad is (under safe pandemic conditions) expected.

Your profile:
  • Good or very good Bachelor’s or Master's degree in the subjects of Social Sciences or Cultural Studies or in related fields
  • Good knowledge in migration, integration and development
  • Good knowledge in quantitative research methods
  • English proficiency

Subject to fulfilment of the relevant requirements, the salary for this post will be up to pay scale EG 13 TV-Hr of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service of the State of Hesse [Tarifvertrag für den Öffentlichen Dienst des Landes Hessen, TV-H].
