Refugee Youth, Public Space and Artistic Practice: HERA Final Conference 2022

Amsterdam 2-3 June

This 2-day conference marks the ending of the research project 'Everyday experiences of young refugees and asylum seekers in public spaces'. During the conference we aim to explore and understand the relationships between young refugees and asylum seekers, public spaces and artistic practices in an interactive way. We are happy that prof.dr. Katie Willis and prof.dr. Marco Martiniello agreed to give a keynote speech. There are several panels with speakers and a launch of the forthcoming edited volume 'Refugee Youth: Migration, Justice and Urban Space'. We will also talk about doing research in art and community-based environments during a world café, workshops and there are opportunities to engage with artists and art installations.
