Danube University Krems in Austria (near Vienna) invites applications for the chair in the area of migration and integration (professorship, full time).

The advertised professorship belongs to the Department for Migration and Globalization at the Faculty of Business and Globalization. The Department for Migration and Globalization is engaged in research into the influence of migrations on the economy and the society. Migrations are put in an international context and understood as an integral part of globalization. Research is interdisciplinary and includes basic research and practical research with a focus on applied research. Moreover, courses in migration and integration management of different focuses will be held. In this way, the Department is building a bridge between science and the needs of society for social cohesion and mutual understanding.

General job description and profile:

The tasks of the future professor will include committed representation of the area of specialisation in research and teaching, management tasks and continuous development of the programme within an overall system oriented towards continuing education. We are therefore looking for a team player with excellent communication skills, demonstrated expertise in his/her area of specialisation and recognised research and publication work. Professorial or equivalent qualification and experience in international research and/or teaching are required.
