On Eastern Europeans in the UK

In a 2016 referendum, the British public voted to exit the European Union. Xenophobia played an important role in the outcome of that vote, and a lot of that antipathy against migrants was directed towards Eastern Europeans.

Yva Alexandrova lived and worked in the UK during that time, and in the wake of the Brexit vote began writing her book, protesting the notion that Eastern European migrants in the UK were merely transient workers.
