I hold a M.A. in German Studies and Political Science from Berlin Free University (1982) and a Diploma in Project development, implementation and evaluation from the German Association for Public and Private Welfare (1989). Since the early 1990s, I have been working on international projects and have been a member of international networks and consortia. Since 2007 I have been employed as Senior Adviser for Internationalisation and as Research Manager at NOVA, a social science research institute in Norway which, since 2014, belongs to the Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (HiOA). My position at NOVA entails informing and supporting colleagues at all levels and at all stages in developing, incl. budgeting, international research proposals and applications for funding in response to calls in international programmes - currently mainly in Horizon 2020. In August and September 2014, I worked for the European Commission as Evaluation Expert (evaluation of proposals on calls in Horizon 2020, SC6) and in August 2015, I gave a presentation on Horizon 2020 at the NCURA annual conference in Washington DC. In addition, I have been the Project Leader for NOVA’s Project Establishment Framework contract with the Norwegian Research Council (since 2009) and the Project Manager for the FP7 SSH collaborative research project DISCIT (2013 - 2016) and was coordinating the Horizon 2020 project NEGOTIATE from the beginning in 2014 till October 2015.
