Angela Paparusso is Research Fellow on “Statistical and Demographic Analysis of Migration and Integration Processes” at the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies of the National Research Council (IRPPS-CNR). She holds a doctorate in Demography (2016) from the Doctoral School in Statistical Sciences of Sapienza University of Rome (title of the thesis: “Studying immigrant integration in Europe: civic rhetoric, citizenship policies and self-reported life satisfaction”). She graduated with honor in International Cooperation and Development, with a thesis on borders and migration in Europe that has been awarded by the Foundation “Roma Sapienza” for the “best master’s degree in the discipline of Social Sciences”. She was also educated at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she obtained the “European Master in Demography” – degree of the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD). In 2015, she has been visiting doctoral student at CERI SciencesPo. Her main research interests focus on migration and integration policies and processes at both the Italian and the European Union levels. She has developed quantitative and qualitative analyses on the effect of policies on migrants’ integration.
