Save the date! DIVCULT Spring Webinar 2026: Participatory and Visual Methods in Migration Research

The IMISCOE Standing Committee Arts, Culture and Migration (DIVCULT) invites researchers, students, artists, and practitioners to join its Spring Webinar 2026 on Participatory and Visual Methods in Migration Research, to be held online on 25 June 2026, from 15:00 to 17:00 CEST.

The webinar brings together DIVCULT across Europe, Syria, Turkey, and Latin America who work with creative, participatory, and arts-based approaches to migration research, including photography, filmmaking, digital diaries, theatre, mapping, and printmaking. Through six presentations, we will explore and discuss how visual and participatory methods can open new pathways to understanding notions of mobility, borders, racism and belonging in migration research, as well as the ethical dilemmas that emerge from the field.

The online event is open to all interested participants:

📅 Date: 25 June 2026
